Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is best known for playing the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick earned an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The seventh season of the show was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and said that she takes part in Passover seders.
